It appears that I am about as good at blogging as I ever was at journaling. I’m not sure why I struggle with keeping things updated, except to say that I really don’t have a lot to say. Nevertheless, we have arrived at Advent. That time of year full of expectation, anticipation, excitement, and all that. Often though, Advent gets lost in Christmas “preparations”: planning family gatherings, Christmas parties, (devising complicated strategies for avoiding Christmas parties), decorating, going to parades. And then there is the mall. Sitting on Santa’s knee (does anybody else think there is something inappropriately creepy about that?), and shopping. Shopping.
